KERI SMITH COLLECTION

12 August 2014

I've loved Keri Smith's books for a long long time, but I've never really implemented my love IN them because they take a while and I usually had other art that I'd rather do because it took less time [lazy I know..] However, when I saw that Spinebreakers were holding a Keri Smith giveaway to win her entire backlist I FINALLY got out my barely used Wreck This Journal and got wrecking. And this is what I came up with:
And...I won! [Which you would know if you'd read my last post. *cough*. So now I have the entire Keri Smith collection which means a LOT of hours documented into those pages, I don't know how long it will take me to complete them all..all i know is it will take a long time. Am I ready for this challenge? We shall see. The problem is, once you start you can't stop, Keri Smith's books are addictive - and i start college in less than a month...
Have you got any of Keri Smith's books? And do you enjoy them? Have you completed any of the prompts? Or are you daunted by the time commitment?

  5. Aren't Keri Smith's books pure bliss!?! I love my Wreck this Journal Everywhere, it's so much fun - extremely time consuming though like you said, each page took around an hour or more of my life haha! Great pics of your pages so far, especially that patterned B/W handprint one! I'll have to do a post like this soon, just waiting 'till I get round to completing a few more pages. Great post! (Oh, and love the new blog look - especially the green, so PURTTY!! <3)

    1. Bliss+time consuming. What?! The Wreck This Journal Everywhere is so small and heck, if it takes you that long to do a small pocket sized journal, JUST WAIT. To be honest it does take me about two hours to properly finish normal Wreck This Journal..
      Yes. DO IT. I want to see what you've done and thank you. :))

  6. Ugh, I'm so jealous of you! I've wanted Keri Smith's books FOR SO LONG but tbh, I didn't even know she had so many other ones out! So knowing that now, I'm even more jealous of you! They'd be really great to do over the summer but I can definitely see how they can be addicting. I love what you've done with the pages so far and is it okay for me to ask for updates every so often? :D

    1. I'M SORRY. Do you have money. Or are you in the perpetual state of broke-ness most teenagers find themselves dwelling in?!
      I did but I had never bought them because I thought there was no point spending so much money on all of them when I hadn't barely touched the surface of the Wreck This Journal I had. I don't know when I'll even start the other ones because I want to finish my Wreck This Journal first and that may take a good 5 years. Probably more. I'LL BE DOING THEM AS A PENSIONER.
      You may. But I have to do some more first..:P

    2. *sigh* Unfortunately I am perpetually broke. But I probably wouldn't get them all at once either. I'd like to finish Wreck This Journal first before I got to any of the other ones. I feel like I'd be cheating if I just skipped around and did random pages from random books.

      HAHA. Maybe...

  7. Dude. I LOVE your design. The header is so gorgeous I can't even asdjkfl;

    Okay, I'm done fangirling.

    Believe it or not, I haven't heard of Keri Smith before. But I HAVE heard of Wreck This Journal, so you can put that baguette away, now. Love what you did with the journal, too -- it's no wonder you won. Seriously, I wish I had artistic talent like you so I could do something cool like that.

    I'm considering getting myself a copy of Wreck This Journal because I know a couple of people who have had so much fun with theirs (like you!), and I want to see what all the fuss is about, too! Your post definitely had me inspired. :D Thanks for sharing, Hawwa aka Zuzana. ;D
