SKETCHBOOK STORIES | chapter one

SKETCHBOOK STORIES: a series in which I present snippets of my sketchbook: people seem to like it when I do so on my instagram so I thought I'd tranfer it to over here as well. Considering I've actually not done much art recently (aka at the time when I am writing this), the above photo is one of the sole pieces I've created, and I say 'pieces' hesitantly because really, it's just a few lines of sharpie; but I like it, I love geometric pieces, and it's available to buy in my shop not only as a print, but as a wall clock and a phone case among other things too - so, I'm calling it art.
This post is going to be smaller than the rest, because a: this piece was not inspired by any artist and b: as I said, there were no technicalities and problems creating this other than pen smudges so I have less to talk about; but hopefully when I create more visually stunning art, I can share the process of creating it.
DO YOU LIKE ART? DO YOU HAVE A SKETCHBOOK? WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE STYLE?

  2. Your shop is amazing - you're so talented! I love art but I haven't actually drawn anything in a while, unfortunately :( For me I love drawing people! More anime kind drawings than realistic but I try to draw more realistic looking people too! :)

  4. "More visually stunning"? I must say, Hawwa, I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit - I think there is something simply beautiful about this. Minimalistic, yes, but no less gorgeous - and I absolutely can't wait to see how you continue this series. <3

  7. For years I've been wanting to get into keeping a sketchbook but every time I'm confronted with a blank page I don't know what to do. It's like I don't truest myself to draw anymore. Such a shame because I used to love drawing when I was younger. Maybe my sister's talent intimidated me. Lol. And so I turn to my camera as my creative outlet.

Btw, I love that print on the fabric!
