what type of reader are you?

14 June 2014

i was just thinking about all the different types of readers there are in the world, all the different types of readers i know who have their own little quirks that define their reading style and then suddenly it was a post and i had decided to do a graphic [my first one!] on it. thank you brain. i know my graphic is terrible with a capital t but i tried. and i like some of them [some i hate but ah well]. which are your favourites? and what type of reader are you? i'm a book eater/mood reader. also. please *appreciate* my graphics. [even if you don't like them]. heh no. do you like this style of post? would you like to see more of ?

  4. I love it because anything that has to do with obsession about books, I'm all over it. And for a first attempt, I'm really digging the graphics and how ridiculously funny they are. =D

Okay, I'm very much a book eater! I cannot make myself read one book at a time. I mean I can but it's very hard and I can do it once a year and only if it's a series I'm really invested in (psst Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy).

I think I'll be seasonal reader when I'm an old lady. Right now, I just want to read ALL the books, please and thank you.

As much as it rocks to be a preference reader, I think spreading one's bookish wings is awesome every now and then. For life. So I own all sorts of books. I REGRET NOTHING (except maybe that lone copy of Twilight, err).

I'm so not a trend reader! If anything, I'm the opposite of that unless it's a book that I'm personally so excited for I cannot wait for the trend of everyone reading a certain book dies down. I've been thinking of doing a post on it.

One of the main reasons I read so many books at the same time is because I'm a mood reader (after being a book eater, of course). It isn't all that pretty because it can mean anything from living and dying in Feelsville (it's a thing 'cause I made it one) over and over to just-can't-make-myself-focus-on-any-book phase.

Ever since I started blogging, I stopped writing reviews right after I read a book which is what I did up until then. So ha ha, I'm not a practical reader. Sometimes I'm scrambling to read an ARC before it releases and that's just so silly of me.

I did genre theme reading last year in the summer where I read all the contemporaries I could stuff myself with and I'm doing it again this year. So yeah, I'm a genre theme reader once a year now. He he.

I would LOVE to see more posts like these. =D

    1. YOUR COMMENT. MY FAVE<3

I think everyone in the blogging community is a book eater! BUT YES YES YES DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE [yeah I may have re-read the whole series over the last three days. NOT SORRY. Nope. not sorry at all.]

But, But- aren't you ALREADY and old lady? :P

Ewww Sana. Twilight? But yes, my wings are pinned down right now through. I'm in a bookish slump so all I want to do is re-read all my favourite books..

Woah. I think I live in Feelsville. I think. I mean I've been living there my whole life. WHY HAVEN'T WE MET YET?????

That happened to me. At first I was good at writing reviews, then I started slacking for a good year and now I'm back being AWESOME. :P

Buuuut don't you get bored? Although I do that sometimes. Mood reading goes hand in hand with Genre/Theme reading because sometimes, if i'm in the mood for a certain genre e.g dystopia I read ALL THE BOOKS that are dystopia on my bookshelf.

WELL I WILL DO NOW. Your comment = fabulous.

  5. No Hawwa, I think this graphic is so adorable and amazing! I think I'm definitely a cross between a mood reader, a seasonal reader, a preference reader, and a book eater. Whew, that's a lot of things but I don't know, I think I'm kinda everywhere... Lovely post! :)

Seriously, you should do graphics more often as this is stunning.
I'd say I'm a cross between a book eater and a mood reader.
If I don't feel in the mood for books I do come back to them though.

  9. I love the graphic! I totally think you should post more posts like this.
I guess I'm the combination of a preference, mood, trend, and practical reader (which doesn't seem to make sense, but then again I don't make a lot of sense).

  10. I love this! I think I am mostly a practical reader and a little bit of a mood reader and seasonal reader. I always have a schedule and list to go, but sometimes I'll divert from that when there's something that I'm suddenly in the mood for. Which usually tends to be contemporary romances in the summer. :)

  11. This is such a cute post! Love the info graphic. I think I am a little bit of all of these. Sometimes I stick to a genre or only read review books. Definitely need to switch it up!

  12. This is a lot better than my first graphic. *Quickly prays you don't find it* I am such a mood reader. If I don't like the first chapter or so you can definitely bet it will be a DNF. I probably don't read half the books I get from the library. That's probably why when I finish a book I usually love it. I'm just happy I'm not the only one who does it.
