I've decided to start a new series of posts highlighting newsworthy book gossip, new releases, author appearances ect. Maybe that way i'll be quicker at writing posts as if i don't; the news will be old! *hands everyone a cup of tea*. settle down. we may be here for a while!
VERONICA ROTH IS WRITING FOUR NEW NOVELLAS IN THE POV OF FOUR AND THEY'RE BEING PUBLISHED ON SEPTEMBER 24th (me thinks..)!!! Yes I know. nj mfd,zmgnz.df,gmn,ednsm,nm,xzgj. When i read the news on Ruby's blog i think a little bit of me died in side - but for a good reason! I absolutely cannot WAIT! The first one is going to be called 'The Transfer' which makes me think that the four must be about his live 'through the factions'? (as for people who've read Divergent; you'll know he transferred from Abnegation to Dauntless). Although Zoe's idea that they may be based on his four fears is A VERY GOOD ONE. (*high five book buddy*). The only problem i have is that they are going to be published as e-books. And as I have no way of reading e-books THAT IS GOING TO BE A HUGE PROBLEM. (but i can always moan about that nearer the publish date so you are saved...for now. ;P).
SARAH. J. MAAS. IS. COMING. TO. THE. UK. TO. PROMOTE. HER. NEW. BOOK. CROWN. OF. MIDNIGHT. Finally!!! Awesome things are happening in ENGLAND and not just America *mutters* BEA! *sniffles into soggy tissue*.... According to the lovely people over at Bloomsbury she will be here from October 2nd to October 7th. She's going to be at a number of appearances, including the awesome Bath Festival of Children's Literature and you can book your ticket in advance here.
Upcoming releases I am dying to get my hands on are:
Allegiant by Veronica Roth (Divergent #3)
Resist by Sarah Crossan (Breathe #2)
Once We Were by Kay Zhang (The Hybrid Chronicles #2)
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas (Throne if Glass #2)
Altered by Gennifer Albin (Crewel World #2)
Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis
Unhinged by A.G Howard (Splintered #2)
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo (The Grisha #3)
Champion by Marie Lu (Legend #3)
Cress by Marissa Meyer (Lunar Chronicles #3)
So let's just talk about The Lunar Chronicles for a minute. Or in particular. CRESS. So. it's inspired by Rapunzel, but rather than being trapped in a tower, Cress is stuck in a satellite orbiting Earth. She also happens to be a computer hacker forced to work for Queen Levana. Oh. and it;s set in the Sahara desert...SERIOUSLY njenfmd.g.emsfdngmfzdx.gm vbfxjnhngcmfhkszjnf WHY IS THE RELEASE DATE SO FAR AWAYYYYYYY?
--Her father is in Africa, which is where the Sahara Desert lies, and where Cinder, Scarlet, Thorne, and Wolf will end up next.
--Cress is also short for watercress. Rapunzel's and Watercress' are both types of lettuce. The story of Rapunzel begins when a poor man's pregnant wife is having mad cravings for the Rapunzel in the witch's garden. The husband sneaks into the garden to steal some but the witch catches him and they strike a deal-he can have the Rapunzel for his wife but he must give her the child when she's born. So when the baby is born, he gives her to the witch and witch names Rapunzel after the lettuce she was traded for.
--The "Rampion" owned by Carswell Thorne is also another type of lettuce. Hinting that Captain Thorne will be Cress' love interest.
WINTER: will be out EARLY 2015. (Based on Snow White). Princess Winter is Queen Levana's stepdaughter. But Winter, not wanting to be like the cruel queen, has made the decision to never use her glamour--which means her sanity is slowly dissolving.
--This will take place on Luna, otherwise known as the MOON, and the homeland for the Lunar's. Help making Winter's white as snow skin reasonable.
-Information regarding this title is under more lock and key than CRESS.
--If you die before this comes out, you will become a ghost with unmet wishes!
AND HERE'S A CRESS TEASER: She bit her tongue against a reminder of all she’d done for Her Majesty during her imprisonment. Designing countless spy systems for keeping watch on the Earthen Union and its leaders, jamming satellite signals so that countless soldiers and operatives could slip down to Earth undetected… it made no difference. Sybil cared only about Cress’s failures, and not finding Linh Cinder was Cress’s biggest failure to date. O_________________________________________O
I think that's all i've got for now. All the other news I had been going to put in is now ''old'' as it was just about the Divergent movie and stuff...Anyway. I hope you liked this post. :D
Do you have any book news I haven't mentioned that is just too squueeelicious to keep to yourself? (yes i just made up the random-est word in history. i have a habit of doing that. If you want to purchase 'the hawwa dictionary' just contact me...)
