So, for this post, I want to gush over all the amazing authors and publishers//publicists that made me feel so welcome when I first started to venture out into the world of requesting review copies.
Luisa Plaja (Author of: Kiss, Date Love, Hate)Luisa was the first 'real-live-author' that I ever ''spoke'' to and has been so supportive to me ever since I got to know her. She was the one that got me into the book reviewing side of blogging and helped me along by introducing me to her book review blog: Chicklish and giving me advice on anything I asked. If it hadn't been for her I don't think I would be here now so thank you very very much! :)
Marie Louise Jensen(Author of many awesome books including: The Girl In The Mask) Marie Louise Jensen wasn't the first author I ever talked to but she made a big impact on me. When I first requested a book off her I was kind of nervous, not having done it many times before so when she actually replied (I was kind of shocked!) and said that she'd read my review of The Lady In The Tower - one of her other books - I think I actually started jumping up and down with joy. After she'd sent me the book we continued to e-mail, well..i continued to bother her..and she agreed to do an interview for me which you can read here.....So thank you for not getting annoyed with my continual e-mails, thank you for the compliments on the reviews I did for you, (thanks for sending them to me!) sorry for the constant use of caps lock, i get very excited sometimes, and thank you for agreeing to do a giveaway for all my lovely readers. :)
Louisa Reid ( Author of: Black Heart Blue)I also wanted to give a mention to Louisa Reid. She kindly sent me her book Black Heart Blue, for review and when I got it I put it on my shelf to read when I had the time. But when I opened the book later on I nearly got a heart attack. She'd signed it.So thank you thank you thank you for giving me my first ever signed book.I'll never forget that!
Thank you to all the publishers//publicists for accepting review requests, waiting patiently for my reviews and putting me on your mailing lists and accepting giveaway requests.
